Micron Inc., U.S. Computer Chip Maker, Seeks Trade Charges Against Korea. (Originated from San Jose Mercury News, Calif.)

SAN JOSE, Calif.--Aug. 13--Micron Technology Inc., one of the last makers of memory computer chips in America, has asked the federal government to investigate the South Korean government's support of Korean memory chip makers for possible trade law violations.

Micron alleges that Korean government aid has given Korean companies an unfair advantage in the U.S. marketplace for dynamic random access memory chips. DRAM chips are key components of personal computers.
