Video 'Lion King' May Become All-Time Best Seller. (Originated from The Orange County Register, Calif.)

Mar. 7--Sales of the Walt Disney Co.'s "Lion King" video reached a record 20 million in the first week - putting the animated film on pace to become the all-time best seller.
The video already has generated $350 million in retail sales, making it the fastest-selling retail product of any kind, Disney said.
"I don't think there's anything you can compare it with," Disney spokesman Steven Feldstein said.
Analysts say the video ultimately could sell 30 million copies, far surpassing the 26 million expected to be sold by the current video top-seller "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," also a Disney film.
