SAN JOSE, Calif.--Mar. 10--Accord or Camry? Camry or Accord? Hundreds of thousands of American families have made that choice over the years.

Suddenly, the automotive landscape has changed, with the arrival of the 1995 Ford Contour and Chrysler Cirrus. Together, they're clear proof that the Big Three are no longer willing to give up the small family sedan market without a fight.
