Egos May Weigh In on Barry Diller-Michael Eisner Bid for CBS.(Originated from New York Daily News)

Mar. 16--It will come down to the ego factor. Whether Barry Diller and Walt Disney Co. chief executive Michael Eisner can be successful in their reported efforts to buy CBS will depend on whether Diller is given full control of the Tiffany Network, analysts said yesterday.
Diller, former QVC Network chairman and Fox executive, has said he would pursue a new venture only if he is given full decision-making powers.
Eisner, who worked with Diller at Paramount Studios more than a decade ago, has seen several of his top deputies quit in the past six months over power struggles. The head of Disney's television operation, Richard Frank, resigned last week.
