COLLEGE TOWNSHIP, Pa.--Jul. 6--People lined up Monday and Wednesday to apply for jobs at national discount retailing sister stores Wal-Mart and Sam's Club.

Since applications started being taken Monday - a process interrupted by Tuesday's Fourth of July holiday - an estimated 600 people have signed up for between 200 and 250 openings at the new Wal-Mart, a store official said Wednesday.

About 400 people have applied for 150 spots at Sam's Club, state job center officials said.
