Tourism Is Booming in Orange County, Thanks to Disneyland's Indiana Jones.(Originated from The Orange County Register, Calif.)

Aug. 8--Just as he did with movie audiences, Indiana Jones is pulling in tourists to Anaheim, helping to fill hotels and vaulting Orange County's tourism industry sharply above last year.

Hotel occupancy at Anaheim-area hotels in June leaped to 84.3 percent, from 69.3 percent a year earlier, according to figures released Monday from PKF Consulting, which tracks hotel occupancy and rates in Southern California.

From the smallest motel to the tall reaches of the Anaheim Hilton and Towers, hotel managers are attributing the gains to Disneyland's addition of the $100 million Indiana Jones Adventure.
