Home Builder Buys Last Land in Moreno Valley (Calif.) Ranch.(Originated from The Press-Enterprise, Riverside, Calif.)

MORENO VALLEY--Dec. 9--A Washington-based home builder has acquired the remaining 611 acres of the Moreno Valley Ranch in Moreno Valley and is expected to decide in the next few months how it will develop the property.

Polygon Group of Bow, Wash., closed escrow on the property Wednesday, according to Thomas Pomeroy, president of Communities Southwest, the building division for Polygon. Pomeroy did not disclose the purchase price.

The builder acquired the site from the Resolution Trust Corp., the federal agency assigned to liquidate assets of failed savings and loans.

The Robert P. Warmington Co. of Costa Mesa and Landmark Land Co. of California were co-developers of Moreno Valley Ranch, a master-planned 12,000-home community. The 611-acre site was...
