Two Decide to Return to Marvel Comics.(Originated from The Orange County Register, Calif.)

Dec. 15--An Anaheim artist who helped start the comic world's third- largest distributor agreed Thursday to go back to work for his old employer. News that Image Comics President Rob Liefeld and partner Jim Lee signed a deal with Marvel Comics Group thrilled fans and dealers alike, said Mark Bryant, manager of the Mile High Comics store in Garden Grove.

"By bringing these guys back into the fold, you're going to get more fans following these books," Bryant said. "It's going to push up sales for Marvel and push up sales for us."

Marvel and rival DC Comics are America's two largest distributors. Image controls about 20 percent of the $500 million comics market.
