Local Inn Owner to Front Cash for Entertainment Center in Temecula, Calif.(Originated from The Press-Enterprise, Riverside, Calif.)

Jan. 25--Mission Inn owner Duane R. Roberts said Wednesday that he will provide "the up-front risk capital" needed to construct the $100 million Old Town Entertainment Center, which is expected to open in summer 1997.

Roberts, 59, who has a minority interest in the project, made the announcement Wednesday during a news conference at the Mission Inn with entertainment mogul Zev Buffman, 63, who conceived the idea for the Western-themed attraction.

Buffman also said he and Roberts may cooperate on other projects elsewhere in California in the future, although those future ventures have yet to be identified.
