America Online to Provide Online Banking via Marquette Banks.(Originated from Saint Paul Pioneer Press, Minn.)

Feb. 21--Marquette Direct, the home banking division of Marquette Banks, Minneapolis, said Tuesday it will offer online banking services through America Online, starting this summer.
"Offering online banking services to AOL subscribers demonstrates our next phase of innovation in electronic financial services," said Daniel Herbeck, president of Marquette Direct. "In September, we introduced direct access to Marquette for customers using personal computers through Quicken and Microsoft Money financial software. This new service extends the benefits of quick and easy online banking to AOL subscribers."
Marquette would not disclose how many people have signed up for its online banking service. AOL, which claims more than 5 million subscribers, does not break...
