CLEARWATER, Fla.--Apr. 1--There's not a hint of sweat on the brow of John Koehler, even though his company's biggest customer, Packard Bell Electronics, was the subject of a critical front-page story last week in the Wall Street Journal.
TechForce Corp., where Koehler is chief executive, takes 10,000 calls a month in its Clearwater call center from Packard Bell customers whose personal computers are under warranty.
If a problem can't be fixed over the phone, TechForce arranges to send one of its 800 service agents -- some company employees, some contractors -- to the customer's home, anywhere in the country.
And its parts and repair operation in Memphis, near Federal Express, can deliver components overnight as needed.
