Pittsburgh Ad Firm Ketchum Catches Account of 3M Spinoff Imation.(Originated from Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

Apr. 19--Ketchum Advertising/Pittsburgh has landed a big out-of-state account, winning the business for Imation, the recently named imaging and information storage spin-off of 3M.
The billings are expected to reach $14 million, making it one of Ketchum's top five accounts. Imation is based in St. Paul, Minn.
Ketchum bested Gray Advertising and Bozell Worldwide, both of New York, and Colle & McVoy of Minneapolis.
At a time when the local advertising market is relatively flat, some Pittsburgh ad agencies are trying to grow by looking out of town. Beating New York agencies is also a source of pride, particularly since some of the most high-profile accounts in Pittsburgh, like SmithKline Beecham, have hired New York agencies to create their ads....
