Recreational-Vehicle Industry Plans U.S. Ad Campaign.(Originated from The Press-Enterprise, Riverside, Calif.)

May 16--The recreational vehicle industry, one of Riverside County's largest employers, is embarking on a $5 million-a-year national advertising campaign to get more people behind the wheel of an RV.
The first-of-its-kind promotional effort follows a May 8 vote of members of the Reston, Va.-based Recreation Vehicle Industry Association to assess a $22 fee on each RV unit manufactured in the United States.
The fee, which will be collected for three years, will go into a fund that will pay for print and television advertising, said Bill Baker, spokesman for the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association.
