Dilbert Cartoon Strip's Office Drudge Amasses Workplace Following.(Originated from The Boston Globe)

Consider devotee Scott Harbeson, a Cambridge research chemist who religiously reads Dilbert comic strips featuring a hapless office worker and his surly sidekick, Dogbert. Aside from owning a Dilbert calendar and Dilbert books, Harbeson confesses to faxing Dilbert strips to friends and sending fan mail to Dilbert's creator, Scott Adams.

"Only twice," Harbeson sheepishly admits.

Like the estimated 60 million people who read Dilbert, Harbeson said he can't get through the day without a Dilbert "fix."

Outside of California's Silicon Valley, the highest concentration of Dilbert fans is arguably within Boston's Route 128, according to Adams. The sheer volume of engineers, scientists and corporate peons in the area...
