Jun. 5--I needed new business cards. The old ones were quickies from Kinko's, the chain of copy/computer shops. They were great when I needed cards in a hurry, but now I wanted something nicer, something more professional.

I decided to test my own print shop: computer, printer and publishing software, figuring I could experiment with colors, fonts and logos, and maybe even add a photo. I could keep all the details completely current. I wouldn't have to worry about the 500 or 1,000-card minimum order at most print shops -- and then discover that they were out of date after I'd only used 200.
