Credit Card Record from Capital One Financial Still Up a Virginia Creek.(Originated from Richmond Times-Dispatch, Va.)

Jun. 15--Credit card records from Capital One Financial Corp. are still lying in a creek bed in Henrico County.
A day after Capital One gave assurances that the records had been recovered and that no accounts had been compromised, a Times-Dispatch reporter and photographer found dozens of sheets of microfiche along Upham Branch in Cheswick Park. The microfiche contains copies of credit card bills with names, addresses, account numbers, account balances, purchases and other information.
The Times-Dispatch counted about 30 sheets in the woods before ceasing to keep track. A sheet contains 325 individual records, so it is apparent that thousands of names of credit customers are still loose.
