Georgia's Columbus Travel Bureau Inc. Acquires Competitor.(Originated from Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, Ga.)

Jul. 10--Columbus Travel Bureau Inc. has acquired Peckham Travel Service.
The purchase brings together the two oldest travel agencies in Columbus, said Columbus Travel President Perry Borom. Columbus Travel was formed in 1950, and Peckham Travel was started in 1961.
The change of ownership, effective Monday, was approved by Airlines Reporting Corp., the organization charged with administering the travel agency/airlines relationship.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
