CKE Restaurants Inc. Agrees to Take Over Rally's Hamburgers Inc.(Originated from The Bakersfield Californian)

Jul. 10--CKE Restaurants Inc., the parent company of Carl's Jr., has agreed to take over 28 Rally's Hamburgers Inc. locations in California and Arizona, including the four Rally's in Bakersfield.
The change was effective July 1.
Some or all of the Bakersfield Rally's may stay as Rally's or be converted into Carl's Jr. restaurants. Those decisions will come in the next few months, said Suzi Brown, the public relations representative for Carl's Jr.
"It depends on the proximity to existing Carl's Jr. locations, how well the restaurant is performing as a Rally's, conversion costs," Brown said.
Carl's Jr. will operate the 28 Rally's restaurants but Rally's will continue to own the restaurants and will receive a percentage of gross revenue....
