Continental Cablevision to Develop Web Site for Jacksonville NFL Team.(Originated from The Florida Times-Union, Jacksonville)

Jul. 18--The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed Continental Cablevision to develop the NFL team's official World Wide Web site, and will unveil the site next month in a big-league way: over the Sony JumboTron screens at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
The team's site on the Web, http://www.jaguarsnfl.com, will debut Aug. 18 during halftime of the team's preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers, Jaguars and Continental officials said yesterday.
The site, incorporating video, sound and graphics, will be optimized for those using 28.8 kilobits-per-second telephone modems.
But portions of it will be designed specifically for the high-speed cable-modem service Continental plans to launch next month in parts of Jacksonville.
