Judge Dismisses Antitrust Lawsuit against the American Bar Association.(Originated from The Boston Globe)

Sep. 5--In the latest chapter in a bitter fight between the Massachusetts School of Law and the American Bar Association, a federal judge in Philadelphia has dismissed the school's antitrust lawsuit against the ABA for its law school accreditation policies.

US District Court Judge J. William Ditter Jr. granted the ABA's request for summary judgment, broadly rejecting the small Andover school's charges that the ABA and several other organizations have operated a "cartel" that controls legal education and screens out innovative, nontraditional law schools.

The Massachusetts school, once rejected for accreditation, had sued the ABA, the Association of American Law Schools, the Law School Admission Council and the Law School Admission Services in November 1993....
