Oct. 22--People inundated with holiday season catalogs they don't want, or those searching for a catalog of a particular kind, can access the Mall of Catalogs on the World Wide Web.
The Marketeers, a Boulder-based company founded in May of 1994, became the first company to offer an online request service for mail-order catalogs in July 1995 and still is the largest and most popular service of its kind on the Web, the company says.
The Mall of Catalogs site allows the user to browse over 1,600 mail-order catalogs by category, by title, or under headings of "What's Hot" and "What's New." The user can then select "Send Me Your Latest" and receive the most recent catalog at no charge, or at the cost of a couple dollars, depending on the catalog....
