Cox Cable Restructures, Slashes Staff in Southern California.(Originated from The Bakersfield Californian)

Oct. 24--Cox Communications' cable subscribers in Bakersfield shouldn't see any reduction in service despite a one-third reduction of the staff, said Jill Campbell, vice president and general manager of Cox in Bakersfield and Santa Barbara.
The cable television company, serving about 22,000 Bakersfield homes, will undergo a reorganization in January that will include a partial merger with the Cox system in Santa Barbara.
The company's Bakersfield staff was notified a week ago of the changes.
