Coca-Cola Ad Executive Leaves Company to Take Pepsi Challenge.(Originated from The Atlanta Journal and Constitution)

ATLANTA--Oct. 31--One of Coca-Cola's top marketing executives resigned this week to take the Pepsi challenge, joining the archrival's New York-based advertising agency.
David Wheldon, who had been director of advertising for three years and was promoted to director of marketing for Coca-Cola's Europe region this month, will become president of BBDO Europe on Jan. 1.
In the new position, Wheldon will oversee BBDO's ad work in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for a number of companies, including Apple, Bayer, Gillette, Sara Lee and Pepsi- Cola.
