Macerich Co. Buys Fresno Mall, Two Southern California Centers.(Originated from The Fresno Bee, Calif.)

Dec. 21--The company that manages Fresno Fashion Fair mall has bought it in a deal that also included two shopping centers in Southern California.
The Macerich Co. said it paid $125.1 million for the three properties. The price included an assumption of the first mortgage on Fashion Fair totaling $38 million. The remaining $87.1 million was cash, $57 million of which was funded by an unsecured commercial bank loan.
Buenaventura Plaza in Ventura and Huntington Center in Huntington Beach were acquired in addition to Fashion Fair. Modesto's Vintage Faire Mall in Modesto was added to Macerich's portfolio a couple of weeks ago.
