Miami-Based Pharmaceuticals Firm Purchases Quebec Plant.(Originated from The Miami Herald)

Feb. 5--Ivax Corp., the Miami-based generic drug maker, has completed its previously announced purchase of a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Kirkland, Quebec, from Glaxo Wellcome. The new plant will enable Ivax, the world's top producer of generic medicines, to produce injectable drugs. Financial terms were not disclosed.
