Boston-Based Fleet Financial to Enter Home-Banking Market.(Originated from The Boston Globe)

Feb. 26--Fleet Financial Group is about to enter the home-banking business.

The Boston-based bank next week plans to roll out Fleet PC Banking, a product that will allow customers on-line access to their accounts to transfer money and pay bills using their home computers.

The Fleet product uses Managing Your Money, personal financial software developed by Meca, a Trumbull, Conn. company in which Fleet is an investor. Other big banks that use the software include Bank of America, Nationsbank and First Bank Systems.
