Fresno, Calif., Health-Care System Ends Management of Medical Practice Sites.(Originated from The Fresno Bee, Calif.)

Mar. 8--Priority Health Services, the health-care system co-owned by Saint Agnes Medical Center, is getting out of managing the medical practice sites it spent millions of dollars to construct and has nurtured for nearly two years.

In what Priority officials are calling a planned move, three weeks ago they turned over management of the Northwest Fresno Medical Group at Herndon and Milburn avenues to doctors who practice at the site.

Priority gave notice to employees at Northwest Medical that they would no longer work for Priority. Effective Feb. 16, they became employees of Northwest Medical Group. Some of the employees may not be rehired, according to officials at the sites.
