Apr. 25--A San Diego company has purchased 20 acres of land in the Rancon Business Center in Murrieta with the idea of developing it into commercial and light industrial uses, a broker involved in the deal said Thursday.
Whitaker Investment Corp. closed escrow earlier this month on about 20 acres within Rancon Business Center, said Tony Albin, a commercial real estate broker at Grubb & Ellis who represented Whitaker in the purchase.
Some of the property will be developed with speculative and build-to-suit buildings, but it hasn't yet been decided when or how much of the property will be built on, Albin said. He added that some of the property may eventually be re-sold to companies that want to own their own land.
