Developer Hoping to Build Over Massachusetts Pike Looks at Other Sites.(Originated from The Boston Globe)

May 1--When the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority announced plans last fall to build a hotel and entertainment center on state land in the Back Bay, Boston city officials fumed and declared they could kill the project.
The lead company in the proposed development, Millennium Partners, then began looking at other sites, sources say.
Millennium proposed a 300,000-square-foot Sony Entertainment Center, a 100,000-square-foot Reebok Sports Club, 100,000-square-foot "flagship" retail space, and either a 600-room "five-star hotel" or a 300-room hotel plus 300 luxury condominiums.
While company officials insist they are still interested in building in the air rights over the Pike in the Back Bay, the government disagreement is clearly...
