Trailer Maker Weekend Warrior Moves Plant to Perris, Calif.(Originated from The Press-Enterprise, Riverside, Calif.)

PERRIS, Calif.--Jun. 26--A shortage of manufacturing space in Ontario has prompted Weekend Warrior to relocate its trailer manufacturing operations to Perris as part of an expansion effort that could result in additional hiring, a company official said Wednesday.

The travel-trailer and fifth-wheel manufacturer, which employs 60, has moved into a vacant building at 1320 W. Oleander Ave. that was once occupied by Aurora Modular Industries, a modular classroom builder, said Sandra Warmoth, Weekend Warrior's director of communications.

Steve Brown, a senior planner for Perris, said the building hasn't been used for several years, but it has remained in fairly good condition. Weekend Warrior is doing some minor refurbishing work, he said.
