Pizza Hut to Accept Credit Cards.(Originated from The Patriot-News, Harrisburg, Pa.)

Sep. 4--Pizza Hut Inc. announced yesterday it will become the first pizza restaurant company to accept credit cards nationally. The decision to accept all major credit cards will apply to all phases of the Dallas-based company's 4,200 U.S. locations -- restaurant service, restaurant-based delivery, and delivery-carryout units.
In the Harrisburg area, however, the announcement carries little impact. Local Pizza Hut restaurants have accepted credit cards for about five years while the delivery outlets started about six months ago, according to Chuck Trissler, area manager of 10 local Pizza Hut locations.
