Orchard Supply Hardware Chain to Open Store in Bakersfield, Calif.(Originated from The Bakersfield Californian)

Sep. 27--Orchard Supply Hardware will open its 67th store today in Bakersfield at 6465 Ming Ave.
The grand-opening celebration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a ribbon cutting and special guests Bakersfield Mayor Bob Price and Ron Stahl, Orchard's vice president of store planning and real estate.
The weekend celebration includes a "No Sales Tax" event, which offers a discount on every in-stock item today and Sunday.
Music will be provided by the jazz band Southside Chicago 5 today from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. and entertainment for children by Homer the Clown, and Mark Colp, a wood character chain-saw carver, on both weekend days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
