FORT WAYNE, Ind.--Oct. 20--A new food-storage container just hitting store shelves is prompting a $3.6 million expansion at Mullinix Packages Inc. in Fort Wayne.

The company is making GladWare, a disposable food container, for First Brands Corp. That product, a new container for food service on airlines, and increases in Mullinix's other products will increase employment at the Fort Wayne company.

Mullinix has been working for about two years with First Brands to develop GladWare, said George Lueken, president of the plastics manufacturer. After test-marketing in two cities last fall, First Brands decided to launch the product nationally, he said.
