Pinnacle Financial Services to Merge with CNB Bancshares.(Originated from Post-Tribune, Gary, Ind.)

Oct. 16--All those new Pinnacle Bank signs that went up on former Indiana Federal Savings offices will be changing again next year.
Pinnacle Financial Services Inc., the parent company of Pinnacle Bank, announced Wednesday that it will merge with CNB Bancshares Inc., which is based in Evansville.
The Pinnacle Bank offices will operate under the Citizens National Bank name when the merger is completed. CNB and Pinnacle officials expect that to be in the late first quarter or early second quarter of 1998.
The move comes less than three months after Pinnacle Financial Services doubled in size by merging with Indiana Federal.
