Massachusetts Plumbing Firm Complains of Union Harassment.(Originated from The Boston Globe)

Nov. 4--Last May, 23 workers filed individual charges of race, sex and/or age discrimination against a large plumbing company -- Sagamore Plumbing and Heating Inc. in Weymouth.

Last month, after hearing the charges, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) dismissed all 23 of the individual charges.

The EEOC qualified its dismissal with the following standard language: "Based upon its investigation, the EEOC is unable to conclude that the information obtained establishes violations of the statutes. This does not certify that the respondent is in compliance with the statutes. No finding is made as to any other issues that might be construed as having been raised by this charge."
