AOL Wins Restraining Order on Junk E-Mail.(Originated from The Washington Times)

Nov. 5--America Online Inc. has won a federal restraining order barring a company that offers real-time adult entertainment from sending junk electronic mail to AOL subscribers.
Over the Air Equipment Inc. skirted AOL's mail filters in order to transfer vast quantities of junk e-mail, AOL said in a filing with the U.S. District Court in Alexandria. On Friday, the court approved a restraining order against Over the Air, which is based in Las Vegas.
"We've won the first round in our fight against unsolicited junk e-mail, but the battle continues," George Vradenburg, AOL's general counsel, said yesterday.
