Coca-Cola Hires Georgia Retailer to Sell Holiday Products from Trucks.(Originated from Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, Ga.)

Nov. 12--Coke and Christmas go together like Santa Claus and reindeer.

It was The Coca-Cola Co., after all, that perfected almost 70 years ago the image of the fat, red-clad Santa Claus. A series of hand-drawn advertisements featured St. Nick with a bottle of Coke.

And now Coke -- the company that taught the world to sing and made polar bears smile -- is on the road again.

With the help of The W.C. Bradley Co. in Columbus, Coke is peddling products from trucks that will visit 54 U.S. cities between now and Christmas.

Bradley Specialty Retailing is supplying caps, T-shirts and ornaments for a six-week "Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan" that begins Thursday.
