Dec. 4--A Fresno County box-making company is embarking on a $2 million expansion that could lead to 200 additional jobs during the peak of the harvest season.
Maxco Supply Inc. said it will add 8,000 square feet of office space and 75,000 square feet of manufacturing space at its Parlier plant to accommodate increased business and consolidation of some functions.
President Max Fleming said the company makes complete boxes for the tree fruit industry in California and also provides box components to farmers and packinghouses.
In addition, it makes boxforming and case-erecting equipment for produce and industrial companies throughout the United States and has a plant in Red Bluff that provides wrapping materials for the grape...
