Mesa Air Group Founder and Chief Executive to Retire.(Originated from Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Texas)

FORT WORTH, Texas--Dec. 6--Larry Risley, founder of Mesa Air Group, said yesterday that he will retire as the regional airline's chief executive, effective April 30 or upon the hiring of a successor.
Risley, 53, helped start the Albuquerque, N.M.-based company in 1980 and became its sole owner in 1982. He will remain as chairman of Mesa's board.
Mesa Air Group includes Mesa Airlines, America West Express, United Express and US Airways Express.
Mesa Airlines started flying out of Fort Worth Meacham Field in May with a route to Houston. It added service from Meacham to San Antonio in September and started service from Meacham to Austin on Sunday.
