FCCI Insurance Group to Build New Headquarters in Sarasota County, Fla.

Mar. 6--FCCI Insurance Group is shifting its scattered headquarters from 2601 Cattleman Road to Lakewood Ranch Corporate Park, where it will build anew on 42 acres it has agreed to buy for an undisclosed price.
"We wanted to stay in Sarasota County," said Kristine Nickel, FCCI director of corporate communications. "We have been here since 1959, when the company was organized. And Lakewood Ranch offered the largest parcel that suited our needs."
The insurance firm will be the largest tenant to date in the corporate park, a section of Schroeder-Manatee Ranch that lies immediately south of University Parkway. The park spans 1,273 acres, half of which is reserved for...
