Oct. 5--BUSINESS-ORIENTED BANK ROLLING INTO AREA -- REPUBLIC SECURITY: Add Republic Security Bank of West Palm Beach to the list of out-of-town banks nudging their way into Orlando.
Republic Security plans to buy a branch in Orlando by December.
And Republic Security -- not to be confused with St. Petersburg's Republic Bank, which already has operations in the Orlando area -- intends to open at least two branches here next year, said Rudy E. Schupp, president.
Republic Security wants eventually to have at least a dozen offices in Central Florida, Schupp said.
