'Oddworld' Beats All Odds for California-Based Video Game Company.

Oct. 8--San Luis Obispo-based Oddworld Inhabitants will launch its first sequel next month, following up a blockbuster video game that introduced the company to the public last fall.

The success of Abe's Oddysee has prompted an early encore, said Oddworld Chief Executive Officer Sherry McKenna.

Abe's Oddysee, a richly illustrated adventure centered around a bug-eyed alien slave, has sold roughly a million copies worldwide since its introduction last fall. It will make $6 million in royalties for Oddworld this year, according to a Forbes magazine feature published in August.

McKenna brushed off talk of the earnings, which she said are being plowed back into development.
