New Carnival Corp. Marketing Effort Combines Six Cruise-Line Brand Names.

Oct. 14--MIAMI--Giant Carnival Corp. will put its six cruise-line brand names under one marketing campaign umbrella, breaking with tradition in travel industry advertising.

Miami-based Carnival announced Tuesday it created a marketing program, "The World's Leading Cruise Lines," for the six cruise companies it wholly or partially owns: Carnival Cruise Lines, Costa Cruises, Cunard Line, Holland America Line-Westours, Seabourn Cruise Line and Windstar Cruises.

The program is scheduled to debut this weekend in the form of an eight-page, four-color newspaper insert in USA Today's weekend edition and newspapers in 14 of the nation's major markets, including the Sun-Sentinel. The $1.5 million insert is expected...
