McKinney, Texas-Based Phone Company Targets Small-Town Subscribers.

Oct. 19--McKINNEY, Texas--Progress usually visits the big city first, but folks here have at least one thing Dallas families don't: a choice of local-telephone companies.
Sage Telecom Inc., based in McKinney and selling since August, may be the only competitive local-phone company in the nation targeting small-town families and businesses. Snubbing Dallas (population 1 million), Sage is looking for subscribers in places such as McKinney (population 32,462), Farmersville (2,780), Princeton (2,678) and Forney (5,260).
