Oct. 29--C&K Market Inc., a Brookings-based supermarket chain, has added to its Lane County holdings by buying Mountain View Sentry in Oakridge and Moran's Sentry Market in Pleasant Hill.
C&K will take over operations at the two groceries Nov. 4, company president Douglas Nidiffer said in a written statement. He did not disclose the terms of the deals or return phone calls from The Register-Guard seeking additional information.
With the Oakridge and Pleasant Hill stores, family-owned C&K will have 40 supermarkets -- 21 in southwestern Oregon and 19 in northern California. C&K has owned Ray's Food Place on Highway 126 in Veneta for about three years, but appears to have developed a new interest in Lane...
