Dec. 23 -- MERGER ATTRACTS BUYERS: Informa, formed by the UKpound 260 million merger of publishers LLP and IBC, attracted buyers under its new guise. The shares opened at 250 pence and closed at 258 pence on 1.6 million turnover. Prudential owns 7.4 million or 6.3 percent. Analysts believe the enlarged group will benefit from combining LLP's vast list of titles, including Lloyd's List, the daily insurance newspaper, with IBC's greater experience in business conferencing.
