Jan. 8 -- Compuware Corp. plans to triple its size in the next few years by spending billions of dollars buying software and computer services companies around the world, a top executive at the Farmington Hills company said Thursday.
That expansion comes on the heels of a $500-million contract with Ford Motor Co. that will let Compuware perform the same role that computer-services company EDS does for General Motors Corp.
Compuware hopes to buy some North American and European services companies to help raise its employee headcount from 10,000 to 30,000 worldwide, said Compuware President Joseph Nathan.
