Phoenix-Based Maker of Computer Network Testing Equipment Gets New CEO.

Jan. 12 -- Vince Hren didn't have to travel too far to land another top job heading up a technology company.

Hren, 48, has become president and chief executive of Phoenix-based Microtest Inc. after recently leaving the helm of Three-Five Systems Inc. of Tempe.

Hren replaces Richard Meise, who is retiring from the manufacturer of computer network testing equipment.

Hren says he was attracted to Microtest's technology and its people. "I like the looks of the company. I think it can go places," he said.

Specifically, Hren wants to grow Microtest by expanding its product line, its international sales and its service offerings.

Meise is giving his successor high marks.
