Mar. 6 -- News that the product had begun rolling off the assembly line at Workhorse Custom Chassis was greeted by a collective thumbs-up from the recreational vehicle industry.

"Actually we're a bit ahead of schedule," said Andrew Taitz, chairman and chief financial officer of the newly formed company in Union City, Ind., which has been racing to complete the 200,000-square-foot facility adjacent to its sister company, Union City Body Co. LP.
