Happy with First Local Stores, California Hardware Chain Plans More.

Mar. 29 -- Long established in Northern California, Orchard Supply Hardware opened two of its homeowner-oriented hardware and garden stores in the Sacramento area last year and more are on the way.
Orchard opened in the Laguna Creek area of Elk Grove in May and at Sunrise and Madison avenues in Citrus Heights in the fall, and officials said they have been pleased by early returns from both locations. OSH also has stores in Woodland, Yuba City, Lodi, Vacaville and Stockton.
"We'd love to have more stores out there and we will," said spokesman Chuck Merydith.
The company has purchased a site in the Antelope area and expects to close a deal in Folsom this month, said Craig Burress, a first vice...
